Missha All-Around Safe Block Mild Essence Sun Milk SPF 45/PA+++

I hate sun block. I don't hate what it do, I just hate the texture, the smell, and how gross it feels when I applied the thick, greasy, unpleasant smelling cream to my skin, and I hate how it makes my skin looks ghostly, unhealthy white. I know, I know that sun block is very important, especially in the place I live now. The sun is merciless and my skin in badly needs to be protected from all those nasty UVA and UVB. Both UVA and UVB cause damage, increase risk of cancer and aging to our skin, and overexposure to UVB causes sunburn. This is where SPF (Sun Protection Factor) play an important part, to shield our skin from overexposure of UVA and UVB.
Normally SPF only measure protection against the UVB rays, this is where PA comes in.

PA+ provides UVA protection against low to medium UV radiation.
PA++ provides moderate UVA protection against medium UV radiation.
PA+++ provides good UVA protection against strong and direct UV radiation.

Missha All-Around Safe Block Mild Essence Sun Milk SPF 45/PA+++ might just change my mind about sun block. Let's see the review, shall we?

What is it?

It's a lightweight all-around sun screen, and it has moisturizing elements. Free of parabens, alcohol, artificial colorants, talc, and mineral oil. And the scent is very nice, a bit like flowery soap, but not too overpowering.

What it does?

It's an all-around safe block, it means you can use it for any part of your skin on your body, but I generally only use this for my face. It protect our skin from UVA and UVB rays. Its SPF is 45 and PA+++, it means you can be under the sun for about 450 minutes before the UV penetrate your skin, but still just to be on the safe side, you need to reapply the sun block every 3 hours.

The texture?

Its texture is very agreeable with me, it's not thick, but not overly liquid either, just a bit runny. And the most important thing is it doesn't feel gross when you applied it to your face. The scent is very pleasant too, so no complain at all.

The packaging?

It's a beautiful little packaging of 40ml sun block, very classy and feminine. The top cap is very secure and the cap to dispense the sun block is very hygienic and easy to control. Minor issue is the text is very easily rubbed off. A bit disappointing, but overall the packaging is still beautiful.

Performance review?

The texture is very lightweight and runny, and absorbed very quickly and have no white cast. It doesn't feel overly oily, it feels very soft and moisturizing. It feels like you don't apply any sun screen at all, and just feel like applying regular moisturizer.

I like how it feel when I applied it to my skin, my skin feel smooth and moisturized. No matter how high the SPF are, you have to apply at least 1/4 teaspoon of sun block on your face and reapply it every 3 hours. You're supposed to apply this sun block as the last step of your skin care day regimen, but I usually just wash my face thoroughly, clean it again with toner, and directly use this sun block. You may apply moisturizer before applying this sun block, but for me just this sun block already makes my skin feel moisturized. But if you are planning to go to the beach or somewhere with harsh sunlight exposure, you may want to find a thicker sun block to protect your skin.

No matter if the sky is overcast, or it's raining, or you are in a building, or it's raining and you are inside a building, you still need to apply sunblock to your skin, just to be on the safe side. We have to protect our only skin don't we?
Overall I'm very pleased with this product.
